Come 5:00 PM today and almost everyone who can understand tamil and relish seeing wicked mother-in-laws , supecting husbands and the like will drop all their work to enjoy the grand finale scheduled for the day.
well, I can only say I am so GLAD that it is over!!!i was getting pretty sick of it all.My mom, grandmom, aunt, cousins, FREINDS and almost everybody except me and my dad have been watching this serial dutifully. The frenzy created by these mega serials is awesome!!!Their reach is simply something amazing!
Sometimes, due to other engagements , the maid working in my house doesn’t see the serial one night and the very next day she is like’’nethu mettioli paathingla ma? Saro’um Manickam’um sanda marupidium pottangla?Leela kuzhandhai kadachiducha?’’ and soo on....
While I congratulate the team Mettioli for this awesome reach across people, I really wonder if there can be people like whom they showcase on TV.
Why does the bestest of girls always end up with the worst of m-i-l’s?
Why does the best daughter end up with the worst husband?
And finally, why on earth don’t these women stand up to themselves?
Must they really undergo such treatment at the hands of a man who is probably a few years elder to them?
Why can’t they show reality?
isn’t there a saying that life is mirror which reflects yourself?So, it doesn’t apply to families in metti oli or what?
It is very sad, that knowing that there are quite a lot of people influenced by the idiot box the serials continue displaying such crap!
Uneducated women and men are watching this and what do they learn from all this ?nothing good, I think.If the channels must showcase serials why can’t they show ones where there isn’t prolonged TORTURE on display!
