The only positive thing about this open-air restaurant is its ambiance and location. The food and their quality of service leaves a lot to be desired. My husband and I went here for dinner recently and were dismayed. To begin with, we ordered a Burmese Fish Noodle Soup and when it came after a considerable delay, one spoonful was enough to turn us off--the fish was not fresh and had a foul smell.
We couldnt dare to take another bite and called for the manager. We told him about the foul smell of the fish and it was evident that the fish wasnt fresh. So we then ordered for a Thai soup (I forget the name. It was a coconut milk based chicken soup). This time, the soup was satisfactory but we were again disappointed because big pieces of lemon grass and the kafir lime leaves kept turning up in every spoonful.
We tired to be courteous to the manager by telling him that the soup this time was good, but were kinda shocked by his smirk!! And we thought those in the service industry were taught to be polite and courteous.
We had also ordered for Chicken Yakitori from the Starters section. The dish would have been excellent had the chicken been fresh and tender. The pieces were rather hard and unevenly cooked.
We decided to end our soiree at that and asked for the bill without too much of a fuss. Maybe this place is good for the regular Indian dishes but we dont intend to go back to find out!! Over all, what was supposed to be a good evening out, was spoilt by bad food and unprofessional service.
