Let me start of by breaking down the various aspects about the college, because there is a massive difference in probably most of them.
1)First of all let me focus on the Location, Though the college is not located in one of the most happening places in mumbai.it still is partly in the heart of mumbai, you can say it is equidistant from 3 stations i.e Mumbai Central, Byculla and Sandhurst Road(Note:Western, Central and Harbor all covered.).
2)Let me move on to the facilities of the college, and I have to admit it is not upto the mark.Though I have seen some attempts to improve them in my time there, they are still way behind in comparison to other colleges of same stature.The printers provided inside the labs are nothing less than weapons of war.you have to fight them all the time. The washrooms though well renovated still lack in basic cleanliness.
3)Non-Teaching Staff: HEADACHE, FRUSTRATION, IRRITATION.those are the general feelings you go through when you interact with the non-teaching staff! The office staff never gives proper answers to your queries, let alone helping you out in time of distress.
The Peon and lab assistants(with some exceptions) are the one’s who have the most attitude, In what college a peon pushes a lecturer to vacate the students from class because he has to clean the class and leave early.Like SERIOUSLY.! On the contrary the peons are more concerned with not allowing any student to take the lift.As if they earn bonuses for that!
4)Teaching Staff:This I would say is fair enough, there are certain faculty members who are exceptionally talented and then there are those who are teaching to earn a living and have no interest at all.
5) Canteen: A NO-GO place, though its very spacious and has good seating arrangements, if you love your food its better to eat at some of the outside joints like Rolex, sagar, mama-mia etc, then eat the tasteless stuff being provided here.!(WARNING: never ever even think of buying a frankie from here .:D)
6) Activities: I Would say the only fun activities that happen at saboo from IV’s to Festivals(Ambrosia) are just due to the 200% effort put in by the students, the teachers support it to some extent, but the management simply doesn’t care and on the contrary tries all sort of tricks to stop any fun activities. The student committee’s like CSI, IEEE, SACE are very active though.
All in all I would say its a decent enough to place to graduate from if your to look past the ill-effects!
