Mi Band 2 is Xiaomi’s second generation band for its customers and lately I have used itfor about 6 months and here is my review about it.
Xiaomi is a chinese based oem who focuses on value for money devices. Sooner or later, mi band 2 is no exception to their policies.
LOOK AND FEEL
xiaomi’s in house band is sturdy and stiff in quality and does not feel cheap by any means even considering the small square oled display up front, the rubber silicon mould holding the watch piece is also steady and stiff looking the initial built qualities has no issues whatsoever.
OTHER FEATURES
Other features include a pedometer which is embedded into the tracker and also include a heart rate sensor for checking the pulse after heavy workout sessions, pedometer helps to keep track of your walking diatances. It also has ip67 water resiatance for splashes and underwater capability, the type of notification and vibration feedback can be chosen personally by the user.
USER FRIENDLINESS
The bamd is quite self containing and is also user friendly as it does not have very complex features to show on its display plus the Mi Fit app included for the band is also fairly good and does justice to the mi band’s sleek ergonomics as it is user friendly for a preliminary user.
VALUE FOR MONEY
If this ia anyone’s question, then it is better to say that, yes it is quite acceptable for anyone and 25-40$ seems cheaply inexpensive deal for anyone. And in India, it retails for 2000₹ which still is a bargain.
STYLE AND DESIGN
Style and design is a very personal thing, but as according to me, mi band 2 is quite of simple design and safe to play with and is desirable for everyone, the design is simple but has essential features like the lightweight strap is another charm.
BATTERY LIFE
Battery life is phenomenal on mi band 2 with its 70 mAh battery, this can easily last for 1 week if heavily used with notifications and vibrations turned on, for moderate to less use battery life increases to 15 days easily.
FINAL VERDICT
Yes, this band is reccomendable to anyone in the search of affordable fitness tracker with no extra weight to carry on the wrist.
