I am generally not into this negative thing but sometimes you have no other option but to warn others from doing the mistake you have done.
Buying this smartphone was a mistake, for sure. My brother and myself were looking for a smartphone under 5k and after a hectic search we laid our hands on the Bolt A65, supposedly a great smartphones.
First, let me tell you some of the features of this phone-
Display - 4 inch with a resolution of 480*800
Camera - 2MP front and VGA rear camera
Dual sim slot
2000 mAh battery
The most disappointing thing about this phone is its functioning. It had started hanging only two weeks after purchase and that too without much apps loaded. The touch sensibility is horrible. You have to literally drill your finger into the screen to input a command. I mean being on a scale under Rs 5000, I didnt expect a Super-Sensitive touchscreen but a little more wouldnt hurt Micromax.
Camera is average. Much cant be expected from a 2MP. Its decent for normal pictures.
Network reception is another problem with the phone. The Bolt A65 somehow fails to catch tower in the highly network available places. Sometimes in dual sim mode, one of the sim frequently loses tower and gets hung. This is a very common problem with Micromax phones and I hope they fix it in the near future.
Battery life is decent though and so is sound quality. But the Bolt A65 we purchased got its speaker damaged in just 6 months. After much persuading, Micromax service responded and took almost two months to repair the phone. Ridiculous! They even asked me to play music at a low volume on speaker to avoid further such issue. I mean, whats the point if Music is listened at low volumes. Customer care of Micromax is horrible. Even though there are many service centres, it hardly matters owing ro the rate of Micromax smartphones getting damaged everyday.
I dont have any anti with this company but they should surely invest some efforts to improve their budget smartphones and customer service. If you are planning to go for this phone, make sure you do check out the Lumia and other smartphones from Samsung and Nokia in this range.
