Im probably one of the first users of MICROMAX CANVASHD or the A116. Ordered the product on 14th Feb and received it on 18th. It was great. the features at that price looked rock solid and the phone was a treat. All was hunky-dory till one fine day the phone conked off. It just died; Took the phone to the only available service center in Pune on 16th of March.
They promptly took the phone and asked me to call back in a couple of days to know the status. 10 days later I found that my phones motherboard was gone and the service center is waiting for the motherboard to arrive.
I logged in a complaint (2603130962) at the Micromax customer care on 26th March, and its been 20 days with the same updates that I get every time I call them "SIR. Our team is working on it, please wait for another 10 days". This is what I have been hearing every time I call them. They dont know the exact status as to what is happening on my phone and they are also not giving an ETA as to when this product will be completely serviced.
Imagine a new phone conks off in 20 days and for over a month its lying on the service center desk without the parts being replaced and add the pathetic customer care who have been parrot-trained to ask the customers to wait.
I will not rate Micromax higher than 1 Star because of my personal experience with them. Im not looking forward for my phone as well. I do not have an option rather than wait and see how soon or late they will give back my phone. Micromax may not be a dubious company but the experience of the users on and over the internet surely puts them in the dark space. I would strongly recommend to stay Away from them..
