Hold The Front Page!

I have been making personal websites for nearly 3 years and I originally used Microsoft front page 97. It was great and I used it regularly.

Updates came but I could not afford to spend any extra cash on software so I had to make do with FP 97 and complete my pages by downloading scripts from freeware sites to compliment my website.

Then along came front page 2000!

I actually got the product free for completing a survey (you know the ones that pay you to do surveys) and after waiting for it for over 10 weeks it eventually came.

I installed it straight away with ease.

It had lot’s of new features including dynamic HTML and mouseovers that you do not need to program as it does it all for you.

You can now have great text effects on any website that bounce, shoot in from the left or the right or even have the letters coming in one by one.

The positioning of pictures has been made simpler to. Instead of having to insert your graphics either left, right or centre you can now position them absolute so they go where you want them to.

For the more advanced user the insertion of HTML has become much easier and the things you can do with the mouseover command on DHTML. I used this effect on a picture of my cat. When the cursor is placed over the picture my cat purrs.

People often condemn Mr Gates but he has brought out some fantastic products so fair play to him. I admire the man that brought us Windows!!

I recommend Front page 2000 to anyone, be they beginner or advanced operator. It may not be the web design product of all products but for the price, compared to other similar products it is an excellent choice.

My website covers a lot of space and have now given it a complete overall and professional look.

It even comes with some great templates so you don’t even have to be great at graphics!!
