Window 7 has taken goodies of the Window XP and the Win Vista both. I have been been a fan of Window XP. I used it for two years without any serious problems. Then I heard of win 7. I managed to have Window 7 ULTIMATE which I installed myself (took just 45 min) I enumerate the features which experienced on my Sony VAIO lappie(1.6GHz, 2 GB RAM, 160GB Hard Disk.
The GRAPHICS are eyes soothing. I had around 100 more Themes from the Microsoft site . They are high definition themes which keep changing automatically giving a nice feeling of refreshing change.
The TASK BAR can be customized easily in such a way that the desktop remains largely uncluttered. Just Rolling down the mouse on the task bar icon shows brief showdown of the minimized window-looks impressive.
The inbuilt Antivirus MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENSIAL can be downloadedif the copy is genuine.
Programmes run faster on this OS.
It Automatically installs most of the drivers.I extreme cases it suggests the ways of getting it while connected to internet.
Getting connected to Internet is easy through better interface.
Search option is user friendly and a real fast one.
Hard Disk Partition is a cakewalk.
DRAWBACKS:-
Needs minimum of 1GB RAM
It does not have video intensity control driver for some models of laptop.
