Got this for my laptop. Its indeed perfect for laptop use, build is quite good, size is small but big enough to be used comfortably, but what blows everything is its battery consumption which is really fast.
It requires 1 battery but runs exactly for a week after which its almost unusable, it turns itself off frequently and I need to switch it on again which is frustrating. It claims to have a battery lifetime of 10 months which is absolutely a lie, after 16 hours of usage daily it is supposed to give atleast a month of backup. This is absolutely not expected from microsoft. Go with logitech or other brands.
