In my opinion, the officials at the Ministry of External Affairs are the most professional of all government officials. I am not an MEA staffer nor do they pay me for writing this.
I say this from my own experience as an editor with a foreign affairs magazine who has often to deal with many government departments including the MEA. By and large, dealing with government departments is a very unpleasant experience. As a colleague once through up his arms and said, “It’s like butting against a concrete wall.” But the MEA has always been there to take your call and give the required information needed. The officers are responsive and quick in entertaining you. And they speak English!
If anybody thinks otherwise, please let me know the reason(s).
