Reservation is the right of a person to get or use services and commodities if he is eligible for that. Generally we go for Ticket reservation in train, bus or plane. But to get reservation, we have to pay some amount to access the service. Our Government, use the reservation weapon for the vote Bank. 70% of the Indians are living in Rural India. So the concentration of the political parties on rural vote banks. Politicians know that the government formed by the rural voters not the urban.
Most of the deprived (SC/ST/OBC) class people live in rural India. Due to the lack of educational institutes, schools and awareness, most of the backward class people are illiterate. Government shows enough budget in 5 years plan as well as in annual budget for educational development.but conditions are not changed as per requirement. Even international organizations and NGOs are helping government for educational development. Reservation is the means to lure the backward class people to vote for a particular party, which provided them reservation.
Our Indian Government does not want to reform and enhance educational strength. It is playing with innocent and poor public. Everyone knows that the recent proposal of reservation in educational institutes is politically motivated not for development. Consider some points and reservation effects on general public and our country-
1- Arjun Singh and Congress are unable to specify the reason behind reservation.
2- Castewise discrimination of the Indians by the government. It will create unfamiliar behavior of one caste to others. People will start supporting his own caste and no will consider the overall development of the country. No nationalism will leave.
3- Why the reservation is not on the basis of income group? Why not government considering everyone as Indian? Low-income level people are in each and every caste. What will happen with them due to the reservation?
4- Why is government not supporting backward class students for competitive examination and enhancing their capability. Government can provide free coaching classes and education to the talented students who don’t have money to invest in education.
5- Is it the Guarantee (Reservation) that after the function of bill, deprived people (low-income backward class) will get benefited. Or it will limited only to the high-income backward class people. How the government ensures? Is government conducted any survey before the proposal of this bill?
6- They are not answering and communicating properly to the Doctors who are in strike against the reservation bill.
7- There is no proposal for setting new educational institutes. Why reservation in existing seats?
8- If Government say that they want to help the deprived class, than why is not any institute’s proposal specifically for the deprived people? It will provide backward classes people 100% reservation and the quality of other institute will not suffer. If the students will perform well than the companies come for placements. Also the gate of others college will open for them to enter if they will be in rank.
9- If 49-75% seat will reserve only for backward class than what will be the options left for talented General category students. Either they will go abroad for study or stay in private institutions. Government allowing new private institute to open their shops. These institutes charge very high fees and the quality is not up to the mark. So what will be the option left infront of poor general category students.
10- Productivity of the country will suffer because of the admission of low quality students.
11- Image of the Top notch institutes go down (IIMs and IITs etc.) Because the quality students will not be admitted due to reserve category students.
12- Reservation will create disappointment in general category students that will lead frustration, crime, hopelessness, jealousy, mental torture, use of Alcohol and smokes, fear, distance from other class, bad competition etc. Students will not feel equality in his own country.
13- This is the issue which will damage the Indians image in Global map.
14- Reservation is creating chaos and it will be intensified.
I saw a banner in Delhi’s Doctors hand ’’Arjun Singh, will you allow 50-75% reservation in politics’’.
This is a valid question. Imbalancing the others life (General public) for own profit is not good. Either you have to provide the logical and clear-cut reasons. Playing the caste card for vote bank is the biggest drawback of Indian political parties. It is visible countrywide as well as statewide.
When the Indians start pick up in the Global scenario, reservation bill is look like third class work by the congress government. Where is the Indian government concentration? Development or breaking the existing images.
I am clearly supporting to the Doctors who had taken the initiative against the reservation bill. Now this is the time to understand that the no one political party opposing this bill till date. Why? Because everyone play the castism card.
Even I think our universities are also badly affected by the politics. When our doctors and engineers opposing the bill for the equality, no university students with them till date. You can see many students unions during university elections, heavy propaganda. But now, where are they (Delhi, BHU, Allahabad, Lucknow, Mumbai university etc.).
Without developing the skills and training, how can expect to complete a flawless new job. If the backward class students will get admission because of reservation, will they sustain? Will the quality of students remain same? What will be the use of competitive exams? Most of talented students will not get admission in reputed colleges but those who scored low will get.
Infosys HR suggested right solution. First enhance the skills of the people than put in job. This is not the matter of caste. This is the matter of complete the job and fulfill the requirements of the job. So solution is to help backward class to compete.
And this is our responsibility to make our future bright without any discrimination. So join the hands to remove the castism from our society and be an Indian. This is my responsibility.
