I have been visiting daman since more than 10 yrs and thus have experience of staying at many hotels there. Recently I went there on a weekday, offseason with some of my friends from mumbai. I would seriously recommend hotel hunting before you finalise on anything. and theyare, cidade de daman, miramar, jazira, princess park and lastly shilton.
Ofcourse it all depends on how much you’d want to spend in a place like daman which has a rocky beach you cant go in, seafood is avg, so basically the only thing you’d want to go to daman is for drinking alcohol which is cheap.
Okay, so I went to miramar reception and asked for a tariff card. Now I asked for weekday discount and this guy at the reception is still busy writing something in the register. finally he gives me a cold look saying ’no discount’ . I mean when whole of daman is giving atleast 30-40% off miramar is not intrested in it. It seems they have enough customers to run their hotel.
Anyways, we went to cidade de daman which is the second best in daman and gor 40% with an extraperson bed absolutely free! and it has a pool too! got a pool+sea facing a/c room for 2300 for 3 persons all incl.! I think miramar is a completely overhyped hotel . pls refer to my cidade de daman review for more. thanks.
