Accha khana tha..

Another one of my escapades.... Yes I love eating out, Not that my wife cannot cook... she is a brilliant cook, but even she needs a rest from time to time.... And a husband should always spoil the other half!

Anyways, Mirch Masala is situated on Linking Road Khar just under the Newcastle Hotel - you’d be mistaken if you thought it was part of the Hotel!

On entry it seemed like it was a small place until we were ushered down to the basement... a big room (they use it for parties as well) with tables neatly laid out and several staff derssed to the nine’s. The tables are well spaced and well laid out giving plenty of privacy, if you so desired!

The menu has a huge selection and some dishes on the menu which I haven’t come across at any other restaurants like the ’Khile Huve Moong ki roti’ and ’Juwar ki roti’ just to mention two.

The staff are friendly and courteous and helpful when it comes to choosing the right dish and quantity.... I ordered two main dishes for the two of us and the waiter suggested we go for one first and if needed go for the second later... as it turned out one was more than enough (saved me 110 bucks! - that’s what I call service!)

The restaurant has one main attraction, and that is all the food is served in Copper utensils.. cute eh?

I’ll surely go there again, just to have that ’Juwar ki roti’ - hmmmmm... tasted absolutely lovely....
