Mirchi kola is situated on crowded MG Road and still is lesser known by youth in Pune. The entrance is quite gloomy and gives rise to apprehensions whether to go in. But the interiors are totally unlike the shabby entrance.
A beautiful fountain welcomes you when you enter. The dining area is very spacious. The dim lights are very soothing to the eyes and the ambience is quite relaxing. The walls are painted in rustic colours and are adorned with many colourful paintings and indian crafts which gives the room a rich look. On the two sides of the room, sofas of vibrant red colour are placed, they look very inviting and comfortable.
The waiters are neatly clad in royal dresses like sherwanis and pagadis. Although, Mirchi Kola is a family joint but is also a good option for couples who are looking out to spend a cozy romantic evening. The waiters are polite and patient. Some of them even gives suggestion on the menu. The menu has veg, non-veg Indian, continental and chinese delicacies. Since I freak on non- veg, I didnt try anything veg.
Tandoori chicken, Fried fish and chicken biryani are simply amazing. The aroma of the food really makes you hungry, however some items can be greasy so you need to tell in advance to the waiter about the oil quantity. If you are in a hurry, then its not a place for you. The service is not so fast and anyways you cant enjoy the experience if you dont have time on your hands.
No doubt, Mirchi Kola is comparatively expensive but trust me its worth the experience. Good news for females... on some days(cant remember now) mehendi is free. Guyz dont feel sad .... for you there are free astrological predictions by some astrologer. All in all, its a plush, sophisticated place and worth a visit !
