Miruthan as stated in the promos is an amalgamation of the words Mirugam and Manithan. Directed by Shakthi Sounder Rajan, this Jayam Ravi, Lakshmi Menon starrer is a first attempt in Tamil cinema on zombies, although the name never gets mentioned in the film.
Jayam Ravi, as a Traffic Cop, has a little sister who means everything to him. Sudden outbreak of virus attck causes people to transform into Zombies n it gets infected to others and whole town is in big trouble. Lakshmi Memon, as a doctor, though the role is good she doesnt deliver mych and seems to be disconnected from the film. First half is on very high pace n second half little slow. Its all about how a traffic cop saves the doctors team who try to discover a new medicine for the virus attack. Climax song is good yet Jayam Ravi’s one man show in climax is way too much. BGM strengthens the story and songs are ok.
Very good thriller with super screenplay. New try and is really commandable. Worth a watch and it does open door for more innovative movies.
