Dont MISS it

My two free UCI tickets arrived on my doormat a few days ago, much to my surprise.

I received these by enlisting in the Nurses web site, via freeukstuff.co.uk, and was very surprised to find they were good to their word. (I also received other things; check my op out on freeukstuff, PLUG)

So I decided to treat Sherry to a night out!

We first went to Burger King with our buy 1 Whopper meal get another free, which incidentally, were on the back of our UCI tickets from the time we went to see What Women Want!

Then we took in the 18:50 performance at UCI Poole, Tower Park.

We managed to avoid most of the trailers by going in at 19:00.

And were quite looking forward to this, as the trailers on TV looked “gookey” in a funny way.

Right! On to the film.

Sandra Bullock played an ugly tomboy FBI agent!

This was the only unconvincing part of the movie!

No way can she carry that part.

It’s like Posh spice playing an overweight person!!!!

The film starts with a very brief sketch of her childhood, and even that is funny, if a little sad!

Don’t worry if you have not seen this, for I will try not to give more away than what you have seen on telly.

It then goes to a stakeout, of which Sandra is the main undercover girl.

This does not go to plan, and results in Sandra Bullock getting Bollocked! Pardon the pun

The FBI are on the trail of a psycho serial killer typecast American thingy, who’s neat target is worked out to be Miss US of A.

They need an undercover FBI agent, and the only one to fit the bill is, you’ve guessed it, Tomboy herself, SB

Despite much guffaw and jovial puns from the backroom boys, and protests from herself, the film takes off big style.

She is interviewed by the Beauty Pageant board, which happens to be “Beam me up Scotty” himself, our very own, original, Captain Kirk, alias William Schatner.

His role is superb, although sparingly used throughout the movie, his character is slightly eccentric and not quite back on earth yet.

This leads him into some brilliant one-liners, and extremely funny situations.

They then hand her over to our very own, home grown, loveable Cockney Rouge, Michael Caine.

His part is that of a has-been make up queen, who was once someone.

His job is to make Sandra beautiful in only 2 days!

(2 seconds would be all I needed-to make her beautiful that is!)

This is done with some hilarious sketches, and great one-liners.

The beauty pageant is staged in Texas, and SB, with her feminist attitude, soon makes friends with the “Airheads” as she called them, and gets involved in some hilarious capers along the way.

Her sidekick is Eric, a womaniser who has such a small part of making this film funny doesn’t really need to be mentioned, except for the fact that SB is actually in love with him.

So what is the overall view?

Very Cheesy, Tacky, corny, and I loved it!

It’s a great movie if you like Steve Martin type Movies, and don’t mind the humour raw and slapstick.

Not thinking mans movie, just for the comedy lovers, although there are a few messages to come out of the movie, as you would expect from a politically correct USA moviemaker syndrome.

Id say, give it a shot. It is funny and easey going.
