Sandra Bullock is a very good actress, she has appeared in great films such as Speed and Demolition Man. In the other films you really get a taste of Sandra’s acting skills but in this film I don’t the film let her bring out her full potential.
Sandra Bullock plays Gracie Hart, an FBI agent, her life is based around her job and she has no real close friends. She does not take pride in her appearance and she is very unfeminine, the film at first concentrates on this. Some of the scenes around this are really funny, I saw Sandra Bullock in a different light.
A bomber terrorises the people and it is revealed that there is going to be an attack on the Miss America Beauty Pageant, Gracie Hart is brought in to go undercover in the pageant. Michael Caine had the task of turning the slob in to a an elegant, feminine and very attractive looking contestant. Some scenes were really funny especially when they had to teach her basic manners. Swimsuit part is a treat for the males out there. Without giving too much away you can predict the general theme of the film.
The film predictable, the storyline is simple and it did not keep me glued to the screen, I found it more of a light entertainment type film. There were some very funny scenes but I think that there should have been more.
It is an easy going film where you can just relax and watch it without concentrating too. I would recommend this film not for a group of lads but maybe just for a few friends going to enjoy themselves. It is a good film.
