Since the very beginning of his filmmaking courier , Tim Burton is very well known as a visionary director and is in par with some of the best hollywood directors like Christopher Nolan or James Cameroon. His latest film Miss Peregrine’s home for peculiar children doesn’t disappoint . The film potrays Jake , a boy on the verge of
Manhood , struggling to make the best of his teenage years gets his life changed by that one day when he is told to go look after his grandfather. Finding his grandfather dead , leaves him griefstricken but also terrified on seeing the creature that killed his grandfather . In his childhood , his grandfather had told him stories about a oraphanage where the children where special , where there was a girl who colud float and bees buzzed in a boy’s head, these stories had long kept him entertained all throughout his childhood thus on loosing his grandfather, Jake sets out to find this home . On reaching the island he meets different kinds of adverseries but is finally able to find this place. Enter Miss Peregrine played by Eva Green whose charming and delightful prescence enhances the whole movie . From here on things take on a different route and soon Jake begins to feel some kind bond with the place and it’s residents , the peculiars. Even the creatures called Hollowgausts or hollows for short are impressive whose leader is played by Samuel.L .Jackson has a absolutely ghastly and evil feeling to the story . The hollows have a real and authentic feel to them and are nothing like the creatures in the resident evil franchise . I , personally think that that resident evil should take inspiration from this movie as to how monsters shilud be in real life. Though there are some drawbacks to this movie and also some of the performances do not feel up to the level , the overall feel of the movoe makes you forgive all these flaws of the movie and leaves you with a satisfies mindset in the end.
