This movie was a huge letdown. After seeing the trailers & cuts, one was given to believe this would be a sequel that more than lived upto the original. But seeing is believing. This one has absolutely no story whatsover. Everything is set up as an excuse for Mr. Cruise to show off his excellent physique or John Woo to display his trademark slo-mo shots. Even the stunning opening sequence on the top of a mesa is really pointless in terms of the script, but is stunning nevvertheless.
As for the cast, you have to see Thandie Newton to understand the meaning of wooden & soulless acting. This woman simply does not have it. The Villain(What’s his name) is not really mean, actually he is quite good looking & Anthony Hopkins sleepwalked his way to a couple of million dollars.
The finale is well set up but seeing Mr. Cruise doing his act on the Bike makes our own Khiladi No. 1 Akshay Kumar look thoroughly beleivable.
Sure this movie will do well at the Box office but so does a lot of trash. Make your own mind.
