If you like action sequences after actionsequences then this is the movie for you. But those who desire a goodstory line to go along with the action will be disappointed. The moviejust doesnt deliver when compared with the first one. The plot bringsdown the mysterious allure of the agency and makes it look like afamily run organization. The gadgetry, another defining trademark ofthe MI series, breaks no new barriers.
But the worst aspect of the movie is Hunts personal life, which is thedominant theme of the movie. The once strong willed, intelligent, nomission is impossible image is replaced by lovey-dovey, adorable jerryMcGuire type guy with special skills.
On the positive side the visuals effects are well done and the actionsequences keep the limited interest in the movie going. Also the restof the supporting cast, namely Ving Rhames fill in their roles nicely, delivering some good humor with nice punch lines. Credit also is due toPhilip Seymour Hoffman, who does a fairly decent job of playing thevillain.
Best bet is to go with low expectations and hopefully have an entertaining experience.
