Mitr is a beautiful movie directed by a talented and great actress Revathi. She has done a great job. With this film there will be a new outlook Indians and their value in life.
Lakshmi is South Indian who gets settled with her North Indian husband Prithivi along with their daughter Devi who has become a complete American.
Devi thinks wants to move out because of her mother Lakshmi who thinks that she should be like a Indian child who should come home early. She should keep her room tidy and should show respect to her elders. And for Devi, she couldn’t take these things and decide to move out.
Prithivi is a busy husband who thinks these are not his duty, it’s his wife’s and she should not to be a control freak.
The difference in opinions makes them even more separate that Lakshmi becomes sadder and she seeks for a friend.
One day she meets a new chat friend whose name is Mitr, they starts to share their joy and sad without knowing their real identity.
This makes Lakshmi see life in a different angle. And with her neighbor Steve’s help she starts learning carpentry and dancing.
This makes her more and more busy that Prithivi starts assuming Lakshmi is seeing someone.
What happens to Lakshmi? Who is her chat friend, will she come to know?

Revathi proves that she is not only a good actress but she is also a great director. Everyone have acted very nice, Shobana and the girl who acted as Devi has done a great job.

God has given us Mother, Father, Brother and Sister, but he has left to us to find our Friend. True Friendship is a treasure, if we find them, we should preserver them very safely.
