Lancer is best if compare to all other car like Honda, skoda. the spare parts are lesser and mileage is very good. I have 2001 model lancer which gives mileage of 21(21+ km/ litre if I drive in same speed 90 to 110 km/hr) km with ac in high way. u go and inquire the spare parts of Honda and skoda. You wont leave lancer. and the car is very smooth I use to drive from madurai to Chennai(900 km up and down)twice a week . engine is more smooth and the grip in tyre and steering is also very good. For 900 kms, I filled the fuel only for 1800 rupees only. I bet no car in market hv this comfort, mileage, look etc. and the room spacing is good am 6 foot tall I can comfortably sit and drive lancer.it is the best since I have used all other Honda civic, skoda octa. etc. we cannot find any jerk or shake in top speed
Recently one of my best friend changed the clutch plate of lancer 1998 model the clutch plate cost only 5575 rs only we asked for skoda clutch plate the shop keeper told that it cost 50, 000 rs.just imagine the cost of other part. am spending just 2200 rs for oil service(once in 20000 km, since mine is 9 yrs old. if you have new lancer oil service once in 50000 km).
