Cunning E-wallet service

’Zip Pay Later’ services is nothing less than a fraud.

My Airtel postpaid of Rs.333 was paid on Airtel app via Mobikwik, but there was no mention of’pay later’ in the payment option that uses the Zip balance. Payment was made using the zip balance without my consent(Mobikwik app was not installed on phone), neither any e-mail nor SMS was sent to me during the usage of zip balance on that date.

The cunning game they have played here is that the zip balance auto usage is turned on by default so that they don’t need your permission during usage. Secondly they will NOT NOTIFY you during the transaction(Zip balance usage) or on the last due date, they’ll inform you only when the last date of payment has crossed. Thirdly, the additional charges, i.e., activation charges, taxes are charged without informing you.

They have charged an activation fee of Rs.99, additional tax charges and a late payment charge of Rs.50, Total Rs.480 on 25th June.

There better be a law that prevents these types of malpractices!
