The service is terrible. It has even worsened over the last 6-10 months. It completely spoils the mood. Another mood spoiler is, of course, all the brats of all ages making out in every nook and corner, but that well address in another thread.
1> There is no comfortable place to sit, as everything on the top floor is usually occupied by couples cozying up. (i.e.,
2 people at a time cozying up together, occupies 4 seats). A table is available in the corner of the balcony, but for some reason they always put a reserved sign on it;
2> Seats are made available only after waiting for atleast 15 min., and arguing with waiters;
3> Once you are seated, all the waiters disappear. Calling out to them, clapping hands, waving, whistling at them has no effect. THEY IGNORE CUSTOMERS. After a few minutes of this, one waiter will come up maaro-ing style, walking like hes got a hernia, and grinning like he forgot his underwear at home. You give him your order, BUT HE WONT TAKE IT. He just wanders off, grinning and maaroing style;
4> After a lot more clapping and shouting, another hero waiter will decide to grace you by his appearance. This time, the new lil johnny (another style baaz)will be wearing a turban. Instead of taking the order he will proceed to explain why the other waiters are not authorised to take orders. WTF? then y are they dressed as waiters? Mochas a circus or wat?
5> Thats the last straw. Any self-respecting customer will ask him to call his manager. Miffed, he asks you to wait, and walks off. (with style) After waiting for 5-10 more mins. for the manager, you finally decide to leave. While descending the stairs, you will see Mr. Turban having nice gup-shup with the two other waiters in the corner, implying he didnt even have the decency to call the manager;
6> Speak to the manager yourself, and explain the situation to him. He will give you a very dumbstruck look, apologise, ask where youre sitting, and then he himself will walk off to never come back.
Along with tackling the bad service, please take dark glasses along, so that you can avoid looking at all the PDA (Public Displays of Affection). Please avoid this place until situation improves.
Conclusion: Mocha has good food, and a good menu, but the service, atmosphere and management is very bad.
