My title says it all about Kaif who has proven himself in one-day matches over and over about his temperament & talent. But still I fail to understand why he is overlooked by the selectors for the test matches.
He is not a complete slogger of the white ball but he has been consistent in his match-winning innings whenever got the opportunity while almost neglecting his aggregate and the simple reason is he has got less chances to come up the order and settle down at the crease.
I personally believe that he is more talented than his best buddy Yuvraj in both the forms of cricket with a cool head behind all. The selectors should have given him a chance against the paki’s in at least one test match by replacing either Yuvraj and use him up the order and I am confident that he
won’t let them down.
Yuvraj should be considered as a better all-rounder for one day matches.
Kaif would have been the right replacement for Ganguly for the first test.
Kaif has the ability to stay at the crease and score more than Yuvraj.
Bottom line is that we need to stop considering Kaif as a one-day specialist.
