I have seen so many films in the past weeks but among them I think this is the best one. I really loved this film as everything in it is good.
The story of the film is very good, filled with suspense, thriller and drama. The writer and director did a thorough job with the plot. The main protagonist of the film Mom is Devki played by Sridevi. The connection between her step daughter Arya is not good, Arya practically ignores and hates her mother, and eventually Arya will fall victim of the antagonists, this is were the story takes a sharp turn and Devki avenges her step daughter, or atleast tries to. She is also helped by a detective and in the end by the inspector. The story is very nice and enjoyable, what makes it fun to watch is the complications between a mother and step daughter, how she handles and copes with the situations, and takes charge.
Everyones performance is outstanding, Sridevi played the title character very nicely, and played the role of a true’mom’. And Nawazuddin Sidsiqui played DK the detective for hire, his acting is great as ever like I have seen in many of his movies and it stands out the most. Sajal Ali did a good job too. Although the villians could have done a better job in acting I think.
For a Bollywood film the this film has a good collection of songs. I liked the one O sana tere liya by Mr. Rahman. The background music was good too, and has enough thrill of a music.
Cinematography was good too, the way everything was composed and shown, the editing and camera work everything went well with the film.
I have enjoyed watching this movie, everyone should give this movie a try, it has a lot of hidden meanings and messages, so give it a try.
