Gotta Love It...

Well, when we went to Montana last year, we had underestimated what we were getting into. First of all, we had to fly into Jackson, Wyoming because American Airlines doesn’t fly to anywhere in the state of Montana. So we had to drive through Yellowstone to get into Montana, which took about 7 hours, much more than we had expected. Once into Montana, we had a great time. It was so beautiful there-- the open pasture, the rolling hills... everything. The people there were fantastically friendly, and they took great care of us.

Cell towers were unfrequent, and even in the big cities, so plan accordingly. Also on that note, we drove for three hours, on the highway, without seeing a building, and never saw a cop through the whole stay in Montana-- not that there was ever a concern for security. The other great thing was that things were so inexpensive there. We saw an ad in the paper for a house, sitting on twenty-two acres of land, with a barn for $29, 000.

So back on the road, we went to go see Little Big Horn. If you ever go to Montana, it is a great place to visit. You can tour Little Big Horn, and go down the road a couple of clicks and take a tour of the museum as well. There was even a video there about how Custer’s Last Stand might have been planned by President Grant because of political differences. All in all, we had a great trip and it would be a great place to retire to.
