More supermarkets. I dont know if Aditya Birla group is aware of the mismanagement practices being followed in this supermarkets.
Before I rant on, here are a few simple innocent questions: Do More supermarkets hand pick their staff based on how much disregard they have for the store they are working for? And how less they care for the store and its profit? Doesnt their salary depend on how much profit a store makes? And if the latter is not true, then I suggest you do that. Maybe that might infuse some life in the staff you hire.
Whats more commendable is the consistency in the inefficient services. I mean no matter where in India you go, you will find the same goof-ups, the same mismanagement, be it Bangalore, or be it Mumbai.
Here are some goof-ups I came across recently:
- When a customer buys vegetables, isnt it in the favour of the stores benefit to seal the billed veggies? What I have seen so far is that the staff at the vegetable billing weighs the packet of vegetables, bills it, and puts the sticker on the open packet, without sealing it. Whos to say, after billing, someone might want to put in two more pieces of vegetables. How is the person at the billing counter going to know of this? Isnt the staff encouraging shoplifting this way?
What is more incredulous is that when I brought this to the staffs notice, they listened. oh they listened very sweetly, but they dont seem to care about it. They still continue the same thing. Isnt the store losing out on their business.
This happens every time we make a card transaction at More. Why should the amount being charged for in the card be rounded off to the nearest number. If it were a cash transaction, I would understand the rounding off. But why the same with card? Let me give an example. If I bought items worth Rs 175.60 and paid by card, why should the staff round it off to 176? It is not fair. Sure, it may seem like I am making a big deal about 40 paise. But then if it is really not a big deal, why should someone take it from me? The customer loses out this money and the staff loses customer trust. More so, the staff has to be repeatedly reminded about this . In the most recent incident, the staff actually made a face at being correct for charging more. Sure, you may not care about your stores business, but I care about my hard-earned money and every paisa is valuable.
The ClubMore is a joke altogether. It is no use having a ClubMore membership if your membership card is not valid in any store all over India. There is not use of having stores all over India, if you cant handle that many customer memberships.
I hope some responsible people are reading this.
