Beware of Reliance Digital and Morphy Richards

I Am very disappointed with the company and their Service Center responses. Reliance Digital sold me a damaged product and now neither the Reliance showroom nor company(Morphy Richards) nor service center(Batra Repairing Center Lucknow) is ready to provide me any kind of support. I need to have at least a fair justice to me. I spent 10000 on processor thinking I am buying best product as it is almost double of normal processor range but it is so disappointing to get defected product and then no response from company or service center.


I am explaining what I have gone through in just one month of purchase of the product and if it is that way I do not expect a good service from company in near future. I can not recommend to any of my friend on any Bajaj or Morphy product ever now.


I bought Morphy Richards processor(Icon DLX their expensive range) from Reliance digital Gomti Nagar Lucknow on 10th of March, 2016 and when I opened at home attaching the extension, it was having central disc stem tilted a bit. I did not understand and tried running and it worked but I was having doubt on the design as it looked like a manufacturing defect to me. I setup a call for demo at home, technician from Batra Repairing Center came and told that its broken from inside. I asked for replacement and was shocked to know that they don’t have replacement warranty within 10 days of sale also. He said he can just repair it.


I called up Reliance Digital and they said once product is sold they can not do anything this should have brought to their notice at the time of purchase only.


With the sad heart I agreed for repair.


Technician was not even repairing everything which got damaged because of tilted disc stem run. It had motor fans rubbed and coupling rubbed badly. He said it will work fine without replacing. Only coupling is broken and I will fix it.


I told him its new and I would like to see my product like new only. Whatever parts are required to be changed they should get changed.


After long arguments with technician and their service center mAnasultanger on call he agreed to take it to company for repair.


Surprising part is, he did not hand over job sheet to me and neither he shared any contact number saying they don’t carry visiting cards.


for 7 days I did not get any response and then got worried if my processor is still safe so searched a contact number on google but that was showroom’s number but the person shared me service center number, thats where I got to know service center number to contact.


Batra reparing Center that’s where my processor was and they have worst customer service.


He said they will be sending by 10th or 11th day.


I called on 11th day and he said engineer is coming with your processor.


Worst part is now when I saw the piece, it looked like 1 year old product. It was having so many scratches on the product and he had not even replaced couupling.


I was upset and called the mAnasultanger of Batra repair center and he gave me number of a person from Lucknow HO named Sirjan( I may be spelling name wrongly).


Sirjan told me that plastic is not under warranty and if they replace I will have to aishwaryasingh23 the money for it.


Even within a month a company can have such a painful policy and responses, what should I expect in longer run from this product.


Please let me know what needs to be done.


I want things to be fair and up to the mark. Please replace this processor else refund me the money.


I do not want to have any more association with Morphy Richards after this kind of response
