I bought a few Moserbaer Hindi and regional movies. The earlier ones were OK , gave good video and audio quality and a very low price. Of late I found that they were adding Advertisements in the beginning which are non skippable.
You cannot fast-forward, skip to next chapter, pause or anything. You will be forced to watch the entire ADs every time you put the disc. The worst of this kind was the Hindi Moview "Fashion".
The number of ADs it has is unthinkable , and makes this DVD completely unwatchable. No sane person should buy this. I never buy pirated DVDs, but after seeing Moserbaer’s "Fashion" movie, I feel that it is better to buy DVDs which are watchable, be it pirated or downloaded. Situation is that bad.
By forcing people to see unbearable ADs (may be to make up for the reduced cost) , Moserbaer not only spoiled its name but also would end up encouraging piracy, rather than killing it.
For some of their movies like "Khosla ki Kosla" even the video quality was very poor (no better than a VCD).
They just flash a disclaimer that the video quality would depend on the original content and it is not their problem. It is their duty to ensure that the original content is of good quality or indicate on the cover some kind of rating of the video/audio quality , so that the customer can decide whether to buy or not.
I have decided to keep away from this brand. They may have some good movies, but their non-skippable Ads and unrealiable video/auido quality makes it like taking a lottery!
