Surely the big issue with these phones ( and computers and general) is the inefficient OS. Its been the same story since PCs began, ever increasing software bloat requiring faster bigger hardware. On this basic machine 1GB of RAM is not enough for a few apps. Yes its good value for £89, but it cannot run an OS designed for better hardware, and there is no alternative. ( hurrah there is no lag on pressing icons, surely a task that requires little CPU power) . I recall my old Sony Ericsson Elm, it could browse, do mapping, camera and all the apps I threw at it, yet its hardware was probably much more limited than this phone. The difference was its simpler Java based OS.
