I have used this device for about a month and here is my review for the same:-
Build & design: The phone as other Motorola phones feels comfortable to hold in the hand also it has a 5’ screen, and personally I hate screen sizes over 5.2". So I like the form factor of this device. But I do see some light bleeding out of the power and the volume rockers buttons. Also they are not that fragile.
Display: The phone has a 720p HD screen while many of the competitors are offering 1080p display in this range. No problem I cud have accepted the 720p display but even this display is not that good. The color accuracy is very bad. Also there is no option to set the warm or cold tones for the display.
Battery life: Battery backup is just avg. on this device. I can get a SOT of about 4 - 4.5 hrs. It can last for a typical day for most users, but for some very heavy users, you might have to charge it in the late evenings.
Performance: Since it’s running nearly stock android, performance is very smooth. The SD 410 SOC with 2GB ram work very well for the most part, but in some very heavy titles like NOVA 3, you can definately see some minor lags.
Camera: Camera is the only thing I like abt this device, its definately not that great that it can come even near to a 25k phone, but in this price range, certainly it is one of the best. In low lighting, the camera struggles but in outdoor lighting, yo can get some decent shots. The front camera also has the same scenario. I appreciate Motorola for such a huge improvement in camera from last gen. phones.
Speaker: The speaker output is avg, nothing that great.
Call Quality: Call quality was also avg. I wud say it cud have been better.
Updates: Since it’s a Motorola device you will get Android updates, so no need to worry abt that.
Price and Competition: The phone is currently priced at Rs. 11, 000 and that’s a big bummer. There are much better option available now in this range like Redmi note 3 and Le 1s. The only advantage this device has over them is it’s camera.
So I wud say if camera is not the highest priority for you and nor is the dual sim+ micro sd card functionality, avoid this device and go for Redmi note 3 or Le 1s.
