Moto G5 Plus - Not worth it

I bought this phone in March 2017 when it was launched. Initially I was very excited but as the time went by, it seems to have become a mistake of my life. People use to buy Motorola phones for its faster upgrades and value for money proposition. Moto G4 Plus was launched for around 13 thousand rupees in year 2016. Moto G5 Plus was launched for Rs. 17000 last year and was expensive than Redmi Note 4 by around 5 thousand rupees while redmi had 64 GB ROM. Motorola sales picked up around September otherwise I could hardly see any one buying this phone. Lenovo has formally taken over Motorola last year and Moto G5 Plus flashes its logo as well. Lenovo has made mess of the brand Moto. Now upgrades are not coming and we don’t know when will they upgrade to Oreo. This phone was launched on 7.0 Nougat and was never upgraded to 7.1. VoLTE services are being launched in India by various operators. This phone supports only Jio VoLTE as of now and do not support Vodafone, Airtel or Idea VoLTE and have not announced any plans for the same as well. Even local brands like Itel, Techno, Lephone, Karbon, Gionee etc have VoLTE support for other mobile operators like Airtel but Motorola is least bothered. Moto is more concerned for launching new products and looting people of their hard earned money. Security patches are also not frequent and on time. We received May, November and January security patches. Even the after Sales support is not very good. I had one G4 Plus whose power button had some issues. Motorola team took 1500 rupees to replace it and ever after that I was not satisfied and I had to sell that phone before completion of its one year. Regarding this phone I liked only its smoothness, sleekness and its camera is better than Redmi and other similar brands. When I was planning to buy phone, I had 3 phones in my mind - Redmi, Moto and One Plus 3T. Today I regret for not going for One Plus 3T
