I have been using Redmi NOte 4 since a long time and I recently purchased Moto Z2 Force. a very nice phone, more value for the price paid, very attractive design as well as excellent performace. There are a few cons which if the designers consider, it may further boost the value of the phone.
The charging micro USB port has been kept inverted in the phone. As every phone is accustomed to the standard practice of inserting the plug in a normal way, we have to be extra cautious to invert the plug in Canvas Infinity while plugging in. One day a mistake may occur especially if kids plug it in standard direction and this good phone will visit service center with a damaged micro USB port.
A few times it so happened that I had felt the phone getting slightly warm in my pocket. When it was taken out, it was noted that either the camera or an app has got switched on. I do not know how the phone which was made off has become On inside the pocket. I have cancelled the option of finger-print sensor provided in the phone. Perhaps as a result, if power button gets pressed by chance, the active screen with icons goes ON as per Moto design, and subsequently if any icon gets selected, this is the reason why the app goes on. As a remedy, I would suggest Micromax to upgrade to a system like in other mobiles where the page with icons does not open by just pressing of power button. Instead what should happen is that a blank screen with notification should appear after power on like in other mobiles, and only upon swiping the blank screen or unlocking a pattern the active page with icons should appear.
I tried to select a missed call number and choose which sim to dial from, i.e. sim-1 or sim-2, but I had some difficulty. Maybe I am not aware of the procedure and there is no user manual yet in the internet. Micromax should soon post the user guide for this model.
But for this I found the phone to be excellent with large crisp screen, sleek design, good performance of phone, camera and battery duration etc. I can rate this as 5 stars, I got my money’s worth.
