Its not a camera, Its a phone.

Latest Update on w220 (Oct 23, 2008):

Here is an update on w220. The first time I did a review was back in Mar 02, 2007. I did not give rating for "Reliability & Durability" at that time as the phone was still new. Its been more than a year now that I have been using this phone and all functions are working flawlessly. Apart from few scratches on the front surface, Everything..body, head phones, charger, switches/keypads, battery are all in excellent condition. There was a time when I dropped the phone in a bucket of water accidently, I immediately took it out, switch it off, opened it and dried it and presto! It still works perfectly. So I am giving it "Excellent" for reliability & durability. Read below for my review back in Mar 02, 2007.

Got the w220(black) three days back for Rs.3550. Been looking a for a phone with color display, make calls & SMS, clamshell design (distance from ear piece to mouth piece are wider in clamshells. One does not have to keep on shifting the phone to speak and listen like most do or cupped ones hand over the phone to be heard) and one that looks cool with good battery life and did I mention, cheap.

I coulnd’t find a mobile that meets these requirement except the w220. I have read several reviews to check how it stacks up. I wanted to know what w220 users had to say on sound quality,

reception & battery life. The answers were very positive review in these areas, so I decided to go ahead and buy it.

I have tested extensively since I bought it and yes, Sound, reception & battery life are excellent. I was using a Nokia 7110 up to now. The w220 outperform the Nokia 7110 in all these respect. Is it because its new? I don’t know. All I know is, the w220 gets excellent signal where Nokia 7110 struggles and Im using the same SIM. The Nokia 7110 was my beloved for so many years and it is one hell of a good phone.

w220 Build quality is very good. All other features works without a hitch. Didn’t really care for FM radio, anyway it works well too. Menus are basic, simple and easy to navigate. But surely w220 can do with a better keypad. I do not know how reliable it is as mine is only 3 days old.

If you’re looking for value for money with style, you can’t beat w220. Great Phone.
