Well folks, just bought my piece 2 days back. The reason I bought it were:-
(i) I already have an N70 but I wanted some basic handset to use while on the ride on my bike
(ii) Always had a fancy for flip model phones, esp motorola.
(iii) Didnt want to invest much . just wanted a phone to answer calls and make them and one which supports mp3 ringtones. thats all
Well I came across the Motorola W270 and decided to go for it. I bought it for Rs2800(Inclusive of a 1GB Mini SD card) it was on an offer here at a local mobile outlet that I regularly visit. So the dealers were kind enough to satisfy me with this.
First time I looked at it, I luv’d it . The feel - Smooth, Handy and light weighted.
I like the sound quality, its rich, crisp and clear. Something that is worth for a mobile of this pricing.
The display is quite moderate only, but hey I am not gonna watch a movie / music video on it. Its enough if your using the screen to read numbers and dial em.
It has all the necessary features and one cannot complain for a mobile of this pricing with these many features. You can assign speed dials(1-750)! and assign ringtones to individual contacts. Now isnt that great.i was surprised when I found out that you can do that!
Now the bad part is that it has only USB connectivity and that a USB 1.1. I almost spend an entire night trying to get it recognised by my laptop. Downloaded various drivers and stuffs from the motorola site! Then found out the reason.it took almost 15 minutes just to be discovered!
So I just popped out the memory card and fit it in my memory card reader and transfer music n pic files I need and put it back in. This is something I was not happy with. Wish the USB was 1.1 . Anyways not everything is perfect. But overall I love this mobile and its worth the money you throw into it, if your a flip fone luver! Its quite stylish. And yeah this model has come with a new earphone whcih is so comfortable and snuggly fits in your ear and doesnt disturb you even if your wearing your helmet!(For bike riders) .
OVer all. I would suggest any readerr to buy it if your looking for a budget fone just to make and attend calls and listen to music and fm. something that’d be decently stylish at the same time.
