’ Mounam Pesiyathe starts with the backdrop of a blue sky and Yuvan’s Honey dripping nostalgic romantic innocent background music[i dont know how yuvan got this music.absolutely stunning].
Then camera pans to the ground there we ll see one person’s feets and he s running to escape from some gundas.He is the second hero of the movie.i forgot his name.He running into a restaraunt where the hero walks casually through ther left side of the frame.It was really surprising.In tamil films they use to intro heroes by using wind[created by that big fan], fire.and all.but here he casually walks through the left end of the frame.and that hero doesnt beleive in love.i mean’gimmical love’.and he is a stubborn character who never mind any girl and he is not at all interested in the silly things like’dating’.he believes in true love.i forgot his name too.something like jee.oh.sorry I forgot.Surya has done that role.He s running a good beach side restaraunt, well settled and he’s from a good upper middleclass family too.
Trisha enter in the film as the second hero’s cousin.and she is supposed to marry this second hero.but she doesnt want to marry him.She is love with someone.Director makes audience that She loves Surya, our hero.and Film rocks, to be honest rocks all the way and its pace is dead fast and full of good humour.and that real stunning point.where my favourite song comes.Trisha invites Surya to a chat room of a Big star Hotel.He goes there to meet her.Oh .i forgot to tell that interval punch.It’s when Trisha Says."I wana love someone like special.Someone like you’.then camera passes to surya’s brown eyes and yuvan again rocks with the same theme music of this beautiful film.After seeing that interval I realised that Tamil cinema got a very promising new film maker.And to starter’s attention.His name is Amir.Yes, the same amir who went to film’Raam’ and’Paruthi veeran’.And back to that stunning moment we were talking about.Surya comes to the restaurant.And Trisha talks for a little time.and Surya blushes because he is a new person to Love.Then Trisha saying.’I told you kno, I wana love someone like you, here is the person’.A guy who is having beard comes and saying’Hi’ to you.and she goes like’He is just like you.no interest in love and all.u know how I pushed.you have to tell this to my parents.they ll approve if you say because they believe you very much.- Surya didnt hearing her words.Yes Amir’s brilliance.Sound of her voice becoming less as we feel what Surya feel.Surya suddenly saying that he has got an appointment and gotta go then itself.Trisha compels him to sit down he is not hearing her.and we are not hearing.A waiter crosses surya.The motion became Slow motion.Surya showing some action of confusion by hand and voice over coming from offscreen as what Surya thinks."First she Told me that she like me .and then called me many times.and said directly to my face that’I want to love someone like you.what is this.what’s this.’.- He comes out of the restaurant and he stepping into a zone of Roads of fire, buring tyres, and dry light brown fields [ Director shows the then-status of his mind as this symbolic representation.and thats a song.my favourite one.’Kaathal ellam maayam.] .and it is really brilliant.You have to watch this movie just to watch this scene.It’s brilliant.I was 19 years old when I watched this movie.I really loved this movie.Try this one otherwise you will miss something in yor life.I am now 25.I grew older.Movie is fresh still with its stunning theme music of Yuvan.Blue sky remains there.
Nobody other than surya can this do character this beautifully other than madhavan.And at times, i use to think even madhavan cant do this because director has made use of surya’s introvert kind of face and maanerisms.and we cant see madhavan as an introvert.So surya was the perfect casting.And the beginning is the Blue sky.In that Blue sky we can see the titles.In fact that Blue sky is a Representation of the Protagonist’s mind.Surya mind is damn fresh that it didnt have the slighest clouds of love or crush.and in that beautiful sky, In that beautiful mind, This movie starts with a beautiful, vibrant background theme.really brilliance man.this bgm theme is the first reason, i am reccomending this movie to you.You have to listen to that once in your life.Otherwise You are not fortunate to listen to the music of spring.
This one could be called as Yuvan’s first outing in rock and techno kind of music.The most beautiful and rocking song of’mounam pesiyathe’ album is’Chinna chinnathaay penne" sung by Hariharan and Yuvan, himself.It’s my favourite song which starts from the scene I ve explained earlier.and the lyrics will evoke the right emotion which the protagonist feel in that time.It’s a intense song of a love failure.but the most interesting part is that it is not a sad song but a rocking song.and It clearly communicate the feel of the character.The song shot in Dry brown fields, Burning roads, Lonely beaches, abandoned factories, weather-worn boat-stations, in water, green fields.It starts with burning roads and dry fields and end up in water and green fields which symbolises the character’s mental state.from an intense pain he is recovering and returning his calm self once again when he realizes the ultimate truth.as he percieves.A brilliant song.Brilliant song.
And this movie got so many difference.I already written the intro.and this Theme music plays continously through 2 different scenes.It was amazing .It will connect you to that beautiful world the director trying to portray.So he succed in that.He portrayed it exactly.and a lot of humour.Lot of humour of youth.It was really rocking.This movie again proves that Art will remain fresh even long after its creation.and this is not a tragedy and it gives you a stunning climax which is so sweet and positivw which you never expect.forgot to tell you that Ramji was the cinematographer and one of his best work except’Dum Dum Dum’ and’Johnny"
My lovable reader, I recomment this movie over the other two movies amir made.You dont have to watch’Raam’ or’Paruthi veeran".but’Mounam Pesiyathe is a must see movie".Now I am whistling its Brilliant background theme and I am finishing.May all of your love get cherished, Flourished and Blessed.
