I'm a Dew Man.

When it comes to sodas. there is a large variety available for the average consumer. Of course there are the obvious choices like Coke, Pepsi and Sprite. Then there are some other famous, though not so obvious choices such as Sun-Kissed, Dr. Pepper and my personal favorite, Mountain Dew.

What makes Mountain Dew my favorite? Well its taste is very good. I like the smooth citrus taste it delivers when you drink it. Exotic. But not too out there. Thus the taste is just perfect for hot days. Its availability is also good as you can find it easily in both diet and regular flavors at most stores (more so than you can find Sun-Kissed).

So Dew is overall a very good drink in taste and it’s commonly available. But I’m trying to think of what event in my life turned me into the Dew addict that I am today. I think you can trace the official moment back to when I was in Eighth grade. I had always liked Dew. But it was at that point in my life when I started drinking it intensively. That year I took a woodshop class. The shop teacher was an avid lover of Mountain Dew. He gave a pizza party for the class one day and he brought in a load of Dew for us to drink with the Pizza. That was when I became an avid Dew drinker myself and I haven’t looked back.

The only real drawback to Mountain Dew is the fact that it is addictive. If you wind up in an area where there’s a large bottle and plenty of ice, be careful because that bottle may soon be empty. Overall Dew has a better taste than Coke (not acidic at all) and Pepsi (not syrupy).

There are other sodas I enjoy (A&W and Barq’s Root Beer, Sun-Kissed) as well as the occasional wine cooler. But no other drink does it for me quite like the Dew.

(I know this review is shorter than usual. But there’s only so much that can be written about Mountain Dew.)
