How to earn my trust

I am glad to see these categories come up as I too think it gives us a chance to better know the other members.

How do you get on my list? As you can see I trust a lot of members. I usually will read 3 by the same person to start with and they don’t have to be high rated ones to earn my trust. It depends on how much effort I feel some one put into it, or their age if they are young, or the fact they may be new. I take all those into consideration.

Sometimes if I read one review and it really strikes me I will add a member on just one review. I have on occasion taken people off my trusted list as I am always checking for offenders and if I see them on the list they come off mine.

I am constantly checking out new people and adding more. If I am reading a review and see a name that has rated it that is not familiar to me I will go check them out.

I check all my alerts and if I see a new name that has read some thing I wrote I will check them out also.

I do not put anyone on my distrust list. If I have trusted them and then change my mind I simply remove them.

I do not add you because you have added me. I must also find your review useful. Sometimes if I am not quite sure then I will just set a person on alert until they have written some more and then decide to add them or not.

The distrust list bothers me as there is one member that added me to his distrust list and never read one of my reviews and that person is no longer writing, yet it remains there. I even e-mailed the person to ask why I was added or if it was a mistake and did not receive a reply so guess I am stuck with it on my profile page.

If you are going to distrust some one then give them the courtesy of knowing why.I am not a revenge rater. In fact I rated all that person’s reviews fairly after finding he distrusted me as before that I had never heard of him.

Any way it isn’t hard to get on my trust list. Just write a well thought out review and be consistent and that is about all it takes.
