Goddamn I love this show & I’ll tell you why: I watch too much TV series.
It’s my favorite hobby & all that, but the biggest side effect is that the vast majority of everything I like enough to be a fan of are all way too predictable. When I sit & watch a good show, I can appreciate the things that make it good as I watch, but it’s rare for me to experience complete immersion into a story and/or not have an episode figured out before the credits roll. I have to take the majority of my enjoyment from the mechanics of style & execution of storytelling.
This show is the only one for a loong time that excites my imagination, truly gets me immersed & keeps me guessing week in, week out.
The show’s only been on for a month, but it’s so comfortable in it’s own skin that it plays like a show that’s been airing for much, much longer.
