I was recommended by a friend to watch it. At first I had no idea what the show was about but gradually I came to realise that this show is one of those few good stuffs that are rarely made.
When I first started watching it, I felt a little boring at the beginning ( to be honest) but as I continued watching the next episodes I came to realise what a great show it is.
It is a suspense cyber crime thriller. I have to say not many creators are capable of pulling off such a intelligently constructed show. The show is about a introvert hacker who suffers from social anxiety. He works in a cyber security company during the day and by night he becomes a cyber vigilante. The creator Sam Esmail has done a very good job. And the acting of the lead character Elliot played by Rami Malek is on another level. His journey of taking down the largest conglomerate as well as battling his own inner conflicts is something to watch. Other lead characters have also done a fantastic job.
I am not going to talk much about the plot since I don’t want to give away any spoilers but I can say that each episode is intriguing and the cliffhanger will leave you want for more at the ending. It shows how we are affected by the digital life that has so much control over us in today’s world. The detailed use of the coding language used in the show is a treat for the tech geeks. The background music itself will give you the thrills.
I believe not many people will like it at first but if you are patient and observe carefully then you will definitely love it. I would recommend it to anyone who are tired of other melodramatic and forced humour shows.
I have watched the two seasons and I can’t wait for the next one.
