Today morning I had gone at the appointed time to the gynecology department to get an EB procedure done. I waited patiently for two hours since there were other patients and my turn came late. At the end of the wait when my turn came I was shocked to know that they didn’t have the necessary equipment to carry out the procedure! Instead of an apology from them I was told that I should have told them what procedure I had come for(which in fact I had mentioned at the desk). At one point of time the person at the desk gave the absurd excuse that she hadn’t check that the equipment was not around since I was a first time patient. I urge the Ramaiah authorities to take a serious note of this and in future show professionalism in dealing with patients and not blame the patients for the shortcoming of the Hospital.
