Yesterday, on 1st Jun 19, I booked MSRTC sleeper coach from Navi Mumbai to Kolhapur. details are as under:
Bus departure time from Borivali - 9.00 pm
Nerul(my pick up) - 10.40 pm
Bus, didn’t show up at all, no mechanism to track your bus progress, no numbers were supplied for co-ordination but wait for them perpetually until they show up.
On 11.55 pm, I got a call, probably from Vandana Bus Depot, Thane and the gentlemen casually told that the bus hasn’t come, they are offering me a seat in another bus, which was leaving in next 5 minutes from Thane(making me wait for other 1.5 hours)
When I objected, he very casually said, I can take refund by visiting any depot Thane, Panvel or Vashi.
So they simply have no respect for other’s time, they lack professionalism and that’s why they are incurring losses, for I saw more than a hundred buses passing by private tour operators and they were reasonably occupied. So the losses are not on account of lack of passengers, but the reckless attitude of MSRTC.
I will try to forward this reply to the ministry of tourism.
