The broadband services that MTNL provide are nothing but completely useless and a burning hole in ur pocket. I had subscribed to the triband plan by mtnl which cost me about 800-900 rs a month incl all taxes and landline bill(which Was compulsory to have if I wanted to have a MTNL net connection). Sadly I didn’t knew about other providers and their services which they offered which were way too much better than MTNL, and continued it for about 2 years.
Speed: Firstly, the internet speed of MTNL WiFi connection was pathetic. I had an unlimited WiFi plan(triband plan) for which I had a speed of just 60-70 kbps. Other service providers give u some data initially to use it for surfing and downloading at a relatively fair downloading speed.But MTNL does not have such a plan I guess. They never provided me with any initial data to use at high speed.
Connection reliability: The MTNL connection was not at all reliable.Some times it connected but most of the times it was just troublesome. The wiifi connection which I had only connected about ine device at a time which was ridiculous.
Service: The staff only provide poor and unprofessional service. Firstly they take forever to pick up the call. Then give give u answers which are of no use and doesn’t solve the problem.
The line man sometimes even took 2 days to visit and fix the problem.
I am completely dissatisfied with mtnl.
