Yess.. they finally installed the Broadband service at my residence today. Checked the speeds.. Awesome. My response is not of one who is new to Broadband. I have been in the US for 2 years and surfed the internet like one surfs the beach in LA. :-) But MTNL Triband is truly impressive. The engineer took less than 5 minutes for the configuration. No questions asked.. just a signature on the work-order and bingo.. I was in business. It took me 10 minutes to finish the work that previously took me 45mins on Reliance Mobile dialup. I can’t wait to get back home and begin surfing again.
Just keep the following in mind when you subscribe for the connection.
Make sure your telephone exchange is near the location where you want to install the service.
Meet your Local Div. Engineer and fill up the form with his/her advice and guidance. Make sure you have the Div. engineer’s and the line-mans phone numbers (both landline and mobile.. yes they are provided a mobile by MTNL)
If you have applied for new land line along with the Broadband, please make request them for internal wiring, telephone instrument and other free services such as CLIP. Most of them are free.
Do no buy any modem other than D-Link 502 T and please retain the receipt.
