I got my MTNL BROADBAND - connection 22482543 Installed on jan 23 after being attracted by MTNL Metro Train Advertisement and FM radio Advertisement and acting against my wisdom I opted for MTNL. At Snchar Hatt I was wondering if I am right in going for MTNL as I was the only one applying for connection while their very many people present opting to get their connection disconnected.
To my surprise, my telephone instrument was installed and got working by next day evening. For broadband I contacted Senior officers and was informed that Modem has been configured and if I am in a hurry I can collect the same from office or can wait for their field staff to delivered it to me in 1 to 2 days. I gleefully collected the Modem and easily got it installed at my home and WOW !! my Internet started in less then 3 days.
I was happy and applauding myself for opting MTNL and thought things have changed in MTNL.
But cutting short my happiness my Internet stopped working next day onward
Since then my internet mostly not working for whole day. Even if it luckily get connected it only lasts for few hours and link get disconnected and never connect again.
I have been complaining to 1504 from day one and few of complaint are given below.

Now I wonder if :
>My decision to go in MTNL Broadband was a disaster ?
>Is there any service dept./customer care in MTNL and if answer is yes is it actually working.
>Is MTNL breathing its last if one go by daily disconnection of their Telephones.
Is there anybody in MTNL who can solve my problem and problem of few other before we all migrate to other consumer friendly Service Providers and MTNL has no consumers left???
Summary : It seems that senior staff at MTNL working for reviving their organization but they have no control over their juniors and field staff. Such staff do not care for customer as their is no accountability.
I recommend not to go in for MTNL if you have other alternatives.
