I am Jayanth working for a software company in Bangalore. I would like to share my recent experience in Greenwoods Camp, Madhumalai. I had been there for two days (29th and 30th of Jan, 2011). We left Bangalore (Along with two of my other friends) on 29th early morning and reached Greenwoods camp Madhumalai around 10 AM. We were very thrilled to see the tents around the camp as it was a first time experience for us.
This Greenwood Camp is surrounded by forest but all safety precautions are taken. There is a good fencing done around the camp so that no wild animals enter the area. We stayed in a tent which would accommodate 4 people. It was huge and very well equipped. We were provided with all facilities inside the tent like bed, blanket, electric sockets to charge our mobiles, fan and also with night lights. It was a very good experience in the tent. Amount charged to us was very minimal compared to the comforts provided to us in the tent. Food was also served hot (Veg and Non Veg).
It was very tasty when compared to the star hotels in Bangalore. We also met few localites who were very friendly to us. We went in for a night Safari where we encountered with many wild animals like Bison and Elephants. It was a wonderful experience for us. Once we were back from the Safari there was camp fire arranged for us. We had a nice time in camp fire. All in all it was a spectacular experience for all of us. We are again planning to visit this place with our other friends as I believe it is a very good place to relax. Try this place folks
