Elephant Feed Camp

Trip to Mudumalai.

We gone for a trip to Mudumalai.

*Route Sketch

*Around 250 Kms from Bangalore.

Bangalore -> Mandya -> Mysore -> Nanjangud ->Gundlupet -> Bhandipur -> Mudumalai.

After Gundlupet the route(30-40 minutes) is worst.

*Jungle Safari and Elephant Feed Camp*

The place is good. Went for the Jungle safari arranged by the forest department.

*Timings of Safari*

Timings of the Jungle safari will be 7-9 in the Morning and 3-6 in the evening.

*Fee

*It cost 35 per head and camera fee is 25 rupees.

*Attractions*

We saw 2 Elephants and Malabar Squirrel. Not more than that. Then we went to Elephant Feed Camp which is very closer to Forest ticket counter. Just 200 mts away and its on the way to Masinagudi. There is a baby Elephant, its too cute. I have attached photo of that Elephant. If you reach there by evening 5-6 you can see the feeding of Elephants.

*Elephant Safari at Mudumalai.*

For Elephant Safari we have to book it in the Forest Department, Ooty.This place will be too good for all. You can also see some different kind of Monkeys. The Mobile network is not available in that place. Make use of STD booth which is in the Forest Canteen. You can also get some eatables and packaged water in this canteen.

Have a Happy Trip.

Suresh.
