Well yash Chopra’s latest offering ’Mujse Dosti Karoge’ is well a sweet film with eth typical yash chopra elements of swiss alps, gorgeous women n well good tapping music. The story well begins in Shimla where Raj(Hrithik), tina(kareena) n Pooja(rani) are childhood buds .Raj’s dad leves India for greener pastures in The Uk..Raj promises to keep in touch with the svelte Tina thru Pooja’s comp n the E-mail.
One thing I fail to understand is when the story is actually set coz the entire story spans 15 years n if we are talking abt the presnt n 15 years before well Mr’Kunal kohli I am sorry to say Emaildidnt exist till 1994.but tins is footlosse n fancyfree n she doewsnt care a damn abt the mails.But faithful as ever sweet pooja replies to raj’s mails as Tina n over the years Raj n Pooja(he thinks itz tina) fall in love on the net ’undekhe, unanjaane’. Then comes the clincher Raj retursn 2 india n wants 2 meet Tina but then Tina is not who he thinks she is then begins the story of deceit, truth, love, friendship which leads to of course a very happy ending. well The story though appers fresh leaves a lot 2 be desired in terms of continuity and handling.I am suprised that Kunal Kohli such a well established critic would make a film which assuming he hadnt made would have been ripped to shreds by the great man himself.Ther is sense of urgency in the film as in the movie is made at fast pace as if 2 finsih by a deadline.the publicity 2 has been far from satisfactory I fail 2 see ne reason behind this 2 coz the film has all that a hit ness...great music, a young goodlooking cast, fab locales n well a fresh look.Pity they go in vain probably coz half of India doesnt know abt it release as yet. Hrithik is his usual comic, romantic very dancer self..Kareena well a major ’K3G hangover nevertheless looks good.Rani looks great n emotes really well in those sensitive scenes.
The suprise Package is however Uday Chopra who is well a cutie pie...the music by Rahul sharma is well quite a good one particularly the Medley is well amazingly picturised.. ON the whole , MDK is yesterdays’ plum cake with a topping of ’fresh’ cream n wrapped in great, shiny new wrapping paper.itzz not so bad try it.
