The Mumbai Indians is a team in IPL which started poorly with losing four matches on the trot. But after that they have had three victories and are looking good. The team has a combination of some good youngsters like Abhishek Nayar and Dhawal Kulkarni and the experienced players like Pollock and Jayasuriya. The team has been bowling well and fielding brilliantly in the last few games and that has lead to the positive results. It is the most expensive team in the IPL. The GOD of Indian Cricket Sachin Tendulkar is yet to play a game for Mumbai Indians and they will certainly do even better when Sachin joins as a Captain/Batsmen.
*Local Players to watch out for
Abhishek Nayar: He has been a revelation in the IPL. Consistently has been doing well with the bat and in the field. His bowling has not been used well and he does well in Domestic Ranji matches. He might be a good all-rounder who can play for the country in the near future. Are the selectors watching??
Dhawal Kulkarni: 19 years is a young age to show the maturity that he has shown since the first game itself. He has been bowling good yorkers and bouncers at will and has shown the famous " Khadoos" Mumbai attitude in the game. He has been better even than the experienced Nehra. Really one to watch out for the future. Needs to work on his fielding though.
Rohan Raje: He was expressive in the last couple of games and again has shown the variations in his bowling. Some good slower balls and yorkers in the death overs show his temperament. He is known to bat well but that is yet to be proved at this level.
Yogesh Takawale: The keeper batsmen did well in the game against Jaipur. He has done better than the Aussie Luke Ronchi and should be persisted with for the rest of the games. His keeping has been excellent and batting is picking up.
Things will change once Sachin comes in the team and they will surely " Hila denge" the duniya that mention in the theme song.
KEEP THE MOMENTUM BOYS!!
